Quarter_circle01 The latest wallpapers to catch our eye are these digitally printed designs by the team at Smink Things. This pattern is called Quarter Circle, and it takes a cue from the brand’s tiles of the same name. We love the colour palette, and the wonderful contrast between the sharp circles and the painterly softness of the blue background. £160 per 10m roll.

New textiles inspired by Tibetan tiger carpets

    by  • January 23, 2015 • 0 Comments

    Zac&Fox1 Zac&Fox2

This striking design takes its cue from traditional  Tibetan tiger rugs, and it is easy to spot the similarity in its stripe-like motif. American brand Zac & Fox has taken a softer, more painterly approach to the pattern, which has been printed onto a thickly woven linen to bring natural texture to the mix. The wide geometric border appears on both sides of the print for a further twist. This reinvention of traditional or native motifs is typical for Zac&Fox; owner Zac set up the business with the intent to travel the world with his dog, Fox, looking for visual inspiration from all cultures.

Khaden, 100% linen, £229m. Available in Bengal (left), Himalaya (right) and Caspian colourways.

    Osborne

Leopards, Ocelots and big cats are making a mark this season, as we continue to see the animal print trend trickle down from catwalk fashion to interiors style. We love the new collection by Osborne & Little for its sheer exuberance, with feline furs and bold prints. And, better still, it comes in a very diverse range of colourways, from spicy red and ginger to subtle cream and stone. This gives you the chance to choose just how wild you go…
