DURESTA-Matthew-Williamson--passionforpattern.comIt would be impossible to share just one image from the recent Duresta for Matthew Williamson collection – so here’s three. The Nottingham-based sofa manufacturer and British fashion designer joined forces to create a bespoke furniture collection of classic and contemporary styles upholstered in an exclusive range of utterly Williamson-esque fabrics. (See the Margot Chair above in Marble Butterfly Jade, £2943, which marries a classic shape with Williamson’s signature aesthetic).

DURESTA-Matthew-Williamson-passionforpattern.com-----Other fabrics include Rosanna Floral, featuring an English Rose pattern reminiscent of the Arts & Crafts movement and prominent in Williamson’s womanswear designs, and Butterfly Wheel, an almost psychedelic ombre print of ‘berry shades melting through the patterns of a butterfly wing’. (Above, a selection of the fabrics, available exclusively as upholstery fabric for the furniture collection). DURESTA-Matthew-Williamson-passionforpattern.comWe’re positively gaga for the Minnelli Large Sofa in Marble Butterfly Electric Blue (as shown above, £3,902), with its sleek and modern design, while the Fontaine – a daybed with hand-carved flourishes with silver leaf – has full-on avant-garde charm.
